I agree with the fact that it talks about her loneliness, and about how much Sam really means to her. I think one of the main parts of the book is how Celaena's friendship with Ansel backfires when Ansel helps Lord Berick lay siege on the fortress of the Silent Assassins. But I think that the most iportant part of the entire book is the fact that Ansel cares about her new friend enough to try and get her out of the castle, even though she knows that it could cause her entire plan to backfire, and when Celaena spares her friends life, because Ansel is the first female friend that she has had, and Celaena cannot bear the fact of killing someone she cares about so much, and even gives her more time that she said she would to escape.
