2020 Reading Challenge

Another year, another reading challenge to fail. Last year I was very disappointed with my amount (9 of my 30), and the year before I didn't reach my target either, so this year the target is going to be set much lower and I have to reach it. Reading is something I love, and I need to prioritise reading time this year as last year I focused a lot of work and post-grad study. 2020 is going to be the Year of the Book, hopefully anyway.

My aim this year is to read 12 books. If I read more, excellent. I am going to try and read different types of books this year, but am not going to constrict myself to the challenges of last year's list. I am simply going to push myself to try new things, and add them to this list once I've read them.

  1. A book you can finish in a day - The Stealer of Dreams (Doctor Who New Adventures #6) by Steve Lyons (read 1st January)
  2. A book recommended by someone else - The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid (read 5th January)
  3. A non-fiction book - Twas the Nightshift Before Christmas by Adam Kay (read 7th January)
  4. A poetry book - Fierce Fairytales & Stories to Stir the Soul by Nikita Gill (read 13th January)
