In My Basket: May 2016

Instead of reading a handful of unrelated books, this month is going to be dedicated to The Lunar Chronicles. That means I will be reading Cinder, Scarlet, Cress and Winter. If I get round to it, I'll also be reading Fairest, a novella from the series, and possibly Stars Above, a collection of short stories giving us a bit more history and insight into the characters seen in the main series.

The Lunar Chronicles are set in a world where humans, cybors and androids co-exist, and there are people actually living on the moon. Each story is a spin on the fairytales we all know. Cinder is a re-imagining of Cinderella, where Linh Cinder is a cyborg mechanic. Scarlet tells the story of Little Red Riding Hood, Cress of Rapunzel, and Winter of Snow White. Of course, mix in some charming love interests and an imminent revolution and you're good to go.

Actually rather excited to get into this series, because so many people keep telling me how much I'll love these books and this world.
